Hobbystreak Day 9

I keep falling off the wagon but try to hop right on again. For yesterday, more progress on the Legion of Hell, my undead demonic chaos army.

1. Primed various parts of the Gravemaw from Fleshcraft Studios (printed over the previous days). Perfect chaotic giant or monster. Two skulls, four arms. Will paint with the hellfire motif of other Nighthaunt type models in the Legion of Hell.

2. Beginning to paint the hellfire on my new prints of the Legion of Hell Nightmare Cavalry (Fleshcraft Geistmares). First a 50-50 mix of fire yellow and white primer. Then a layer of a 2-1 mix of fire yellow to fire orange. Then wet blending fire orange onto the raised areas, with some areas getting a layer of a transparent orange. Eventually will wet blend onto the raised areas progressively redder tones.

Hobby Streak Day 11

Well, we've successfully completed another orbit around the sun. Hurrah for us!

I, on the other hand, continue to see if I can get 365 straight days of at least some hobbying done.

Yesterday did some more work for the Undead Chaos: Legion of Hell.

First, did a base layer of Reaper Shadowed Steel on the metal bits and weapons for the remaining flamegeists and then a base of GW Incubi Darkness for the cloaks.

Then painted up the flames on the skulls of the Hell Knights with reaper Fire Orange and Fire Red.

Hobby Streak Day 9

I've been taking up the #Hobbystreak challenge with the intention of just getting me to do a little bit each day, maybe a half an hour, so I can push through my various assembly and painting projects. Right now I'm focusing on my Undead Chaos Demonic Army - The Legion of Hell.

I took a break last night from the flamegeists to work on some of my Hell Knights. These are the Perry Brothers Mounted Men at Arms 1450 - 1500 converted with some burning skulls from puppetswar.eu.

Doing some gap-filling as well as attaching barding with greenstuff. Also laid down a base of Reaper Honed Steel on the rider's armor.
