The Rage of Achilles (Continued)

OK, so now that I've returned to work in Ukraine post-COVID, I have gotten around to setting up my new resin 3D printer and started printing miniatures. Some of these have been some additions to my largely complete 5th century BC Undead Classical Greek army. Also, while on extended COVID leave, I received my miniatures from Studio Miniatures' "Dead Through Time Kickstarter", which gave me some more Greeks and now Achaemenid Persians! So I've been busy printing, priming, painting, and assembling to put the finishing touches on my hoplite phalanx!

First up, finishing a unit from Studio Miniatures. Zombie hoplites for the phalanx. primed, painted, assembled, based, and sealed.

Next up, some skirmishers from Studio Miniatures. Four zombie peltasts, and four zombie toxotai. Primed, painted, assembled, and based.

Straight off my printer - a zombie cyclops from Bryan Nafarante's Beastiary #3 Kickstarter. Printed in resin. Studio Miniatures hoplite for scale.

Lastly, something I've always wanted, skeletal satyr slingers! Designed by me with Heroforge. Printed in resin on my Qiditecj Shadow 5S. Primed, painted with Skeleton Horde contrast paint.

Hi Ho! Hi Ho!

There's a lot more than seven dwarves here.

Undead demi-humans have been relatively rare, but over the years most companies have put out a skeletal/zombie dwarf or three. Lately, some have been producing entire lines. So much that I can put together a whole undead dwarf army. If you combine them with undead halflings as well - they are legion!

The following is a review of past and present undead dwarves.

Currently in print:

Battlezone - UK company casting a number of skeletal undead demi-humans

Bear's Head - The miniature company of sculptor extraordinaire Phil Hynes. He makes a number of wonderful undead, including this dwarf.

CMON - A miniature in the NPC-1 expansion for CMON's Zombicide: Black Plague

Die Hard - Outfit of legendary sculptor Tim Prow. These minis come in a blister pack of 4 demi-humans.

Fenryll - French company Fenryll produces this blister pack.

Hammer and Forge - Sold under Ganesha Games/Alternative Armies, several undead dwarves of various types.

Johnny Borg Casting

Macrocosm - Macrocosm puts out a whole line of undead dwarves for their game Bonefields: Ancient Grudges

Mantic - Minis from the Boxed Dungeon Saga expansion, The Dwarf King's Quest

Dwarf Revenant

Dwarf Revenant King

Otherworld - Part of a blister of 3 undead demi-humans

RAFM - Part of a blister of 4 fgures, not advertised as demi-humans but clearly a dwarf, orc, beastman and demon

RollJordan - Oddly, undead demi-humans have the best representation in fantasy football. Why? Who knows. But with a little modification like a weapons swap, they can be effective in your army.

Ral Partha - Part of Ral Partha's new-ish Chaos Wars line

Reaper

Stonehaven

Starplayer - Again, another fantasy football figure

Wizards of the Coast - Lame prepainted plastic

Zealot - Part of the latest Twisting Catacombs KS. Will be in the store soon.

Out of Print: All of these are sadly out of print. But many can be found by scouring ebay.
